It's that time of the year that we all get excited for, that time of the year that we go to bed early and dream wonderful dreams of basketball... THATS RIGHT EAGLE BASKETBALL WILL GO TO BLOOMFIELD!!!!!!!   We will travel to Bloomfield, MO to play in the 61st Annual Bloomfield Christmas Tournament.  The Eagles were seeded fifth (5) and will play Van Buren the twelfth seed (12) on December 26th at 3:30PM.  Hope to see all you Eagle Fans there!!!!  Click on the bracket below and it will take you to up to date information about time and games.  #flylikeanEPEagle


IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES............. East Prairie Junior High is elated to announce that our 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball Teams are able to bring home some hardware tonight.  The boys both managed to overcome a deficit in the later minutes of the game to win the right to be called the Scott Mississippi County Champions for the next year.  

The seventh grade boys team was able to best the Oran Eagles in the final minutes of the game to win.  During the regular season Oran was one of only two teams that were able to beat the Eagles, tonight however the EP Eagles were able to overcome the talented Oran team.  The seventh grade team ended the season tonight 12-2 winning their conference championship!!!

Through much deliberation we have decided that all JH basketball athletes and cheerleaders will leave the JH School at 2:45PM to make the trip to Oran, MO for the tournament this evening.  The 7th grade boys team will be playing at 4:00PM.  The 8th Grade will be playing at 7:45.  Hope to see you all there supporting the Eagles.  

I would like to add a personal thank you to all of those that have been working to make sure that the JH Boys team and Cheerleaders are taken care of while on the trip to Oran [in no specific order] Gary Scott, Steve Stokes, Mandy Dean, Colton Triplett, Cole Byassee, Ashley Jernigan, and Dana Ellis.  It truly takes a village sometimes and I have the best people to work with!!!!

After today's seed meeting the Scott Mississippi County Tournament brackets are complete.  The 8th Grade team was seeded 2 out of 7 teams and will play at 1:30PM on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017.  The tournament will be held at Oran High School. Click here for directions or if you would like to follow the bus it will be leaving at 11:15am Saturday from the high school.  Hope to see you there to support our Eagles!!!

The Eagles ended their 2017 Football season with a great first half defensive effort against the Greenwave.  The Eagles finished 5-6 for the season. The athletic department could not be more proud of the effort that was seen on Friday night.  We thank you for the time that you all have put in this season Coaches and Players.  We will miss the seniors and hope to see them this basketball season.  Thank you Eagle Cheerleaders for your chants, cheers, decorations, and motivating words this season.  We would also like to thank the Parents for the great support that we have received all year long. In the first round of the football district tournament the Eagles traveled to Festus, MO to play the Jefferson R-7 Bluejays.  The Bluejays with the more impressive record fell short to the speed and athleticism of the Eagles. We could not be more proud of our Eagle athletes for their hard work and effort in the Friday win.  Officials from Jefferson High School and the game officials commented many times at the sportsmanship displayed by our team and we could not be more elated.  It's always great to get a win but it's even better when we get to hear that our student-athletes represent our community with class and grace.

East Prairie will play the Jefferson R-7 Bluejays in the opening round of playoff games. This will be the second time the Eagles have played the Bluejays this season with the first game going to EPHS.  Hope to see everyone make the trip to Festus to see the Eagles defeat the Bluejays!!!
