Kick-Off Party Shirts are in! Here's what you need to know....

1. Pre-ordered shirts are being distributed today. If you had a student/teacher/school name on your order form, they are being delivered to the schools by the end of the day. I know the teachers have a lot going on, so hopefully they will have time to distribute them, but if not, tomorrow
2. For those not ordered through a student, we will be contacting you, or if you see this message, you may pick up at the high school. Preferably between 11-12 or 3-3:30
3. If you did not pre-order a shirt, we did order some extras! Please call or email if you would like one. The best thing to do would be to come by the school with an order form and your money and drop it off. **REMEMBER, all checks need to have driver's license numbers and birth dates on them. 
4. Shirts will be taken somewhere tomorrow to be purchased publicly, although that location has not yet been determined. Stay tuned and I will post that when I get it pinned down!

Shirts are $15. $17 for 2X, $18 for 3X. This gets you free admission to the Kick-Off Party and the game on 8/19. Go Eagles! Beat those Hawks!

Finally, we would still like to have the Kick-Off Party OUTSIDE if at all possible. We will not decide until FRIDAY, so please stay tuned for the final announcement of the location. Weather permitting, it will be in the parking lot in front of the High School Gym--tailgate style. If not, it will be in the HS Cafeteria.

Also, for those who receive their shirts today, please CHECK YOUR BAGS! I am not afraid to admit that I make mistakes! Plus, I had student helpers, so I can easily blame it on them! Hehe! If there is a mistake with your order, please contact me ASAP so I can fix it before I SELL YOUR SHIRT!

New Check Policy - Please Read

ATTENTION: All checks written to the East Prairie R-2 School District MUST include the driver's license number of the individual signing the check. Please keep this in mind when paying for Chromebooks, fundraisers, club fees, lunches, etc. Checks will be returned if they do not include this information. This is a new requirement by the Prosecuting Attorney's office.

PLEASE SHARE! IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING REGISTRATION DAYS: We want to make certain we accommodate all families, so we are changing our "Registration Days" schedule. There will be open registration for current students and new enrollees on Tuesday, August 2nd and Thursday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. We ask that everyone attend at the time that works best for your work/family schedule.

Transportation Mechanic Position Available

The East Prairie R-2 School District is now accepting applications for a Transportation Mechanic.

A District Employment Application (located on the EP-R2 District Website or at the Central Office) and resume need to be mailed to Mr. C.A. Counts, Superintendent, P.O. Box 10, East Prairie, MO 63845 or faxed to (573) 649-5455, Attention C.A. Counts.

Applicant must be willing to obtain a CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Diesel Certification is preferred.

Important Information - Please Read

The East Prairie R-2 School District will host "Registration Days" in the FEMA building August 2nd-5th.  Current students as well as students who will be enrolling for the first time will be required to attend.  This will allow families to complete all of the necessary paperwork prior to the first day of school and will allow student information to be updated immediately. 

Students who are new to the district will be enrolled on August 2nd (9am to 2pm), current elementary students on August 3rd (9am to 2pm) and current jh/hs students on August 4th (9am to 2 pm) and 5th (9am to 12pm).  Families who have students in multiple buildings will be able to register in one visit.  

When parents enter, they will receive a Registration checklist and a printout of the student's current information.  They will then proceed to the next section which includes Emergency/Enrollment information, Food Service, and Transportation.  Someone will be available to provide assistance and answer questions in each area.  

After completing those items, parents will proceed to the appropriate building table.  The nurse and counselor will be available to review health info, provide handbooks, homeroom assignment and/or student schedules.  High school students will also receive a locker assignment at this time.  

After completing all registration items, JH/HS students will proceed to the high school cafeteria for Chromebook checkout.  A $30 insurance fee is required for all student Chromebooks.
